WIZARD AVALON: Book of Secrets – The Dark Omen's Requiem
The air inside the dimly lit chamber was thick with tension. Maps, ancient scrolls, and glowing relics littered the central table, but all eyes were fixed on the heavy tome resting at the center: the Book of Secrets.
Will Vandom traced her fingers across the illuminated parchment, her expression grim. "According to the Book of Secrets, Darkar makes his move to drain Prince Phobos’s power at the coronation in two days," she said, looking up to address the gathered allies—Diaz, Scarface, and Bloom, the leader of the Winx. "How are we going to sneak across the plains to the Castle of Ashlina without being seen? We must find the magic stones to save my brother, Prince Phobos."
Bloom leaned over the table, her flame-red hair catching the light of the enchanted candles. "Sneaking across open ground won't be easy with Darkar's scouts patrolling the skies," she observed, adjusting her stance.
Before anyone could propose a route, a sudden crash echoed from the floor above, followed by guttural snarls and the screech of tearing metal.
Will’s eyes widened. "A room upstairs—there's horrible monsters! Lurdens are stealing the Seal of Phobos!"
She didn't wait for a response, sprinting toward the grand staircase with Bloom close at her heels. They burst into the upper study just in time to see squat, foul-smelling Lurdens clawing at the decorative wall safe, their yellow eyes gleaming with malice as they pried loose the shimmering Seal of Phobos.
"Not on our watch!" Bloom cried, summoning a burst of Dragon Flame to force the creatures back toward the balcony.
As they drove the invaders off, Will secured the door and turned back to the lower chamber, her mind racing. "It was the ancient people of the holy nation of Ashlina that discovered the existence of a sacred power which flows through all living things—the power of Soma," Will recalled, her voice steadying despite the chaos. "But these days, a shadow lurks over the purity of Soma and brings with it anxiety, as if ill tidings and bad omens floated in the very air of Kuruda."
"And that's not the only dark cloud over us," Bloom added softly, stepping back into the light of the war room. "I wonder if it's worth telling Prince Phobos about a possible Avalon double."
From the dark corner of the room, a ragged figure stepped forward, his hands trembling as he lifted his hood to reveal a familiar yet exhausted face.
"All this time I've been held captive in Darkar's prisoners," the man rasped, his voice strained from long containment.
"So you're the real Professor Avalon..." Bloom murmured, her eyes narrowing slightly in caution. "...but can you prove it? We have a spy in our midst. He came out of Darkar's cavern."
The room fell into a heavy silence. With two days until the coronation, an army of darkness at the gates, and a traitor hiding in plain sight, every choice they made next would mean the difference between salvation and total ruin.
