Celestial Huntress W.I.T.C.H.: Unbound Darkness and The Dark Gate of Yin’s Forbidden Exorcism
The air inside the grand archive was thick with the scent of old parchment and the faint, bitter tang of Meridian dust.
Master Diaz turned the heavy page of the ancient tome, his clawed fingers tracing the faded ink. He didn't look up as the heavy iron doors clattered open behind him.
"So, did you look through the book?"
Prince Phobos’s voice was like velvet drawn over cold steel. He stepped into the dim light of the candlelight, his long cape sweeping the stone floor.
"Yes," Diaz replied softly, his voice low and deliberate. "But I’m still analyzing."
Phobos halted beside the massive reading desk, leaning down until his shadow completely swallowed the open text. "Is what it says in the last passage true?"
Diaz finally paused, his eyes lingering on the cracked leather binding. Rather than answering directly, he closed the tome with a dull thud. "By the way... if one day I suddenly disappear, I am counting on you to keep the others calm."
Phobos raised a pale eyebrow, an amused smirk twitching at the corner of his lips, but Diaz pressed on, looking straight into the prince's cold eyes.
"This world is connected," Diaz murmured. "One light protects us all from darkness. All worlds share one fate. Since ancient days, it’s been said that Kandrakar is a land that is easy to defend and impossible to attack. Its palace is situated on an island surrounded by a jagged mountain range..." He paused, letting the silence hang heavy. "...And yet, even now, an army from Zibmala is invading."
"Kandrakar's troubles do not concern us, Diaz," Phobos sneered, flicking a speck of ash from his sleeve. "They are weak, soft-hearted fools blinded by their own light."
"I think you’re under the false impression that I have no techniques," Diaz said, his tone shifting into something far sharper, dangerous in its quiet precision. "Yin style."
Phobos narrowed his eyes, the casual arrogance fading into wary tension.
"The puzzle pieces are moving, Phobos," Diaz continued. "Will Vandom’s selection as Guardian of the Veil may have been so she could protect her sister—Queen Elyon, the true Heart of Meridian. But do not underestimate Narissa. And never forget that she tricked Diaz and Scarface into surrendering their power. If she can bend them to her will, she can unravel everything we have built."
The prince stared at the scholar for a long moment before letting out a soft, mocking chuckle that echoed off the high vaulted ceilings. "Let her try."
