When King Xayden, father to the three royal heirs—Will Vandom, Prince Phobos, and Queen Elyion—first cast his gaze toward the Oracle, his intent was purely protective. Yet, prying into Kandrakar’s hidden mechanisms sparked a silent, bloody friction with Zibmala, drawing both realms into decades of shadow warfare.
In the wake of those forgotten conflicts, Phobos carried a brutal truth: All men dream, but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity; but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act on their dreams with open eyes to make it possible. Phobos was a dreamer of the day.
When the Mage Council selected Phobos as a Guardian of Meridian, the decision was not made out of blind faith, but out of desperate necessity. It was the only way to grant him the sheer, unbridled power required to shield his sisters, Will and Elyion, who held the immense powers of the Heart of Kandrakar and the Heart of Meridian.
Yet, raw power alone was a fragile defense against calculated malice.

Phobos knew better than to underestimate Narissa. Her legacy was a warning written in stolen grace; she had already tricked Queen Elyion and Sakura Avalon out of their foundational magic, absorbing their strength before the Council could intervene. Narissa moved through political intrigue like a ghost, proving that raw heart-magic could be siphoned if the strategist was ruthless enough.
To counter her, Phobos looked beyond traditional magical frameworks, turning to an ancient, unpredictable source: the legacy of Clow Reed. Clow had forged a fundamentally new kind of power—one that bridged the gap between elemental heart-magic and Western boundary incantations.
Operation Sleeping Books
To restore Meridian’s stolen vitality and secure his family's lineage, Phobos initiated the Meridian Resurrection Plan, codenamed Operation Sleeping Books. The ritual was dangerous, relying on unstable cosmic geometry. According to Phobos’s precise calculations, the procedure required exactly 180 Paradox 84 units of latent magical pressure—a threshold impossible to achieve through standard spellcraft.
The breakthrough depended entirely on the Paper Sisters. If they agreed to participate, their unique ability to weave written reality into physical space would catalyze Clow Reed's magic, stabilizing the paradox and anchoring the resurrection ritual.
