Sword of Solaris: The Bloody August — Legend of the Phobos Seal

The wind through the obsidian forest smelled of ozone and ancient iron. Deep within the shadow-draped walls of the manor house, the air hummed with forbidden sorcery.
"Have you discovered the location of the Sword of Baltanders?"
Gaus, standing near the shattered stained-glass window, adjusted his balance. Beside him stood his partner, Prince Phobos—ruler of Meridian, older brother to Queen Elyon and Will Vandom. Phobos’s long white hair caught the pale moonlight, a cruel, elegant smile gracing his features.
"Yes," Phobos replied softly, his voice dripping with sinister composure. "We have succeeded in the art of far sight. It resides in a small town not far from here—Kandrakar."
Before Gaus could speak, a tremor shook the foundation of the estate. Raw, unrefined magic flared in the distance, illuminating the midnight canopy.
"Magic," Gaus hissed, looking back toward the inner hallway. "Take the girls inside the mansion and don't come out, no matter what! The Bloody August... it's here."
"And Orphen will follow," Phobos added smoothly, turning toward the gloom. "We'll have them both."
Outside, the natural order crumbled. The night sky darkened to a pitch-black void, blotting out every star. Sudden, violent black lightning struck the courtyard, tearing the earth open in a silent explosion of dark energy. From the abyss stepped a figure steeped in the blood of August—an ominous presence radiating pure, ancient malice.
A terrible screech tore through the trees as the Black Wing—a legendary, shadowy beast bound to the realm's dark balance—was hurled across the courtyard, crashing into the stone steps.
"Your flesh torn... your bones crushed..." the terror above rasped, watching the shadowy creature struggle. "I'm afraid you'll never spread those wings again."
The Black Wing spat blood onto the gravel, eyes blazing with furious defiance. "What more do you intend to gain by drawing out this battle longer?!"
From the shadows of the doorway stepped Diaz, master of the Shadow Skill, her stance flawless, her eyes fixed on the encroaching darkness. Beside her stood the Svall of Kandrakar, glowing with a protective blue aura.
"Darkness whispered to my soul..." Diaz murmured, her voice carrying the heavy weight of a tragic vow. "And I offer my soul back—a soul stained red with the pride of a warrior."
Within the library of the mansion, oblivious to the tragic history unfolding outside, pages turned frantically. Bloom leaned over an ancient, leather-bound grimoire beside Will, her fingers tracing glowing, forgotten runes.
"There's got to be something here," Bloom urged, the wind whipping past the broken window frame outside as the storm of August raged on. "There has to be a way to break the seal."
