Shinkai: Legend of the Crimson Knight and The Lost Master's Mystic Heart

The stone beneath Diaz’s boots vibrated with the deep, hungry hum of the Abyss of Shadows. Below, the void churned—a bottomless sea of ink where light went to die. High above the rift, Prince Phobos stood motionless, his heavy velvet cloak sweeping the floor like spilled wine, his cold gaze fixed on the endless dark.
"It is over," Diaz said, his voice cutting through the hollow wind. "The Svalls are entirely gone."
Phobos did not turn. "You’re late."
"I had some business along the way," Diaz replied softly.
For centuries, Diaz had been obsessed with the Svalls. During the age of the civil wars of Kandrakar, while glorified generals led armies into bright, bloody battlefields, the Svalls had fought in the quiet dark. They were elite warriors gifted with incredible, terrifying skills, yet they lived devoid of honor or recognition. They operated strictly under the cover of darkness, doing the dirty work that kept realms standing, only to die forgotten in the shadows they claimed as home. Why he had spent a lifetime studying their tragic history, he still wasn't sure. Perhaps because he saw too much of them in himself.
"Will there be another war?"
The question came from Ellie Ragu, Gau Ban’s sister, as she stepped out from the obsidian archway alongside Will Vandom. Will—sister to both Prince Phobos and Queen Elyon—looked toward the throne room where Elyon sat quietly, adjusting the crown that felt heavier with every passing hour.
Before Phobos could answer, a raspy, theatrical cackle echoed through the chamber.
"Aredia..." Narissa glided forward, her dark eyes glittering with madness. "The perfect planet to add a third Heart to my collection. Show me the heart of Aredia!"
"Patience, witch," Diaz warned, his eyes narrowing as he stepped between Narissa and the precipice. "You speak of forces you barely comprehend. For one to completely disappear, heart and body must return to their original form. Ansem and Recca... they originated from Prince Phobos himself. Or rather, his younger form."
Narissa paused, her smile turning sharp. "And?"
"However, his heart is still lost," Diaz continued, pulling a glowing, crystalline fragment from beneath his armor. "So that makes twelve."
Ellie Ragu crossed her arms, glancing down at the swirling abyss where the final Svall energy faded into nothingness. "So... do we get to replace the kid?"
