A Misaligned Sky: Flowing Through the Gate of Tomorrow

The neon glow of Tokyo’s skyline bled into the dark, star-filled canopy above, where a massive draconic shadow coiled silently near the crescent moon. Far below, on the stone-carved precipice of a towering gothic roof, the air felt heavy, distorted by a swirling cosmic vortex that thrummed with a low, ominous vibration. It was the physical manifestation of a misaligned sky, a fractured gateway threatening to swallow their tomorrow.
Standing near the edge, Washu turned her gaze away from the swirling anomaly. Her usual eccentric demeanor was entirely absent, replaced by a grim solemnity that chilled the air.
"It is as I feared," Washu began, her voice cutting through the wind. She looked directly at Tenchi Masaki, Ash Ketchum, Kyogi Kagimi, and Gary Oak, who stood gathered on the rooftop. "Thirty years ago, something terrible happened to Lord Tenchi's mother. Because of that temporal anchor being severed, a paradox has been bleeding into our reality. Soon, Lord Tenchi will disappear entirely. The Masaki family has died out... except for Masaki Katsu."
Tenchi looked down at his hands, watching the faint, translucent shimmer of his skin as the timeline fought to erase him. Beside him, Ash gripped a Poke Ball tightly, his face set with fierce determination, while Gary crossed his arms, his analytical mind racing to find an escape clause in the laws of physics. Kyogi Kagimi stood like a silent sentinel, his eyes fixed on the encroaching darkness.
"What are you doing here standing all alone?" Gary asked quietly, stepping forward to address the ancient scientist. "Shouldn't you be guiding the Lightning Emperor?"
Washu closed her eyes, a faint, bittersweet smile touching her lips. "He decided to choose for himself which path to follow from here on out. What he finds there depends entirely on him. We are all helpless against the tide of destiny... but he has altered the flow of that time, both then and now."
"Then there's still a chance," Ash insisted, stepping toward the swirling wormhole. "We don't just stand by and let destiny wipe out our friends!"
"It’s more complicated than a simple rewrite, Ash," a sharp, cold voice interrupted from the shadows of the upper deck.
Gladion stepped into the moonlight, his signature crimson-and-black aesthetic a stark contrast to the ancient sorcery and high-tech gear surrounding them. He looked over toward the edge of the roof, where Ban Mido—the infamous Midou Ban—and the Thread Master, Kazuki Fuuchouin, stood watching the rift with calculated intensity.
"I guess it's time you knew the truth," Gladion added, his eyes narrowing as he looked over at Ban Mido and Thread Master Kazuki. "The reason he left the Limitless Fortress was because he was attacked by an Ultra Beast. They don't belong in this world. They are anomalies born of the deep sky, and they bring misfortune to everyone they touch."
Gladion's gaze shifted toward the swirling vortex behind them, where the fabric of reality seemed to tear like wet paper. "And Kane is no different."
Ban adjusted his glasses, a dangerous smirk playing on his lips despite the stakes, while Kazuki’s fingers twitched, the nearly invisible layout of his strings shimmering in the ambient light. They knew the Limitless Fortress held secrets that defied reality, but an invasion of interdimensional beasts crossing paths with the Masaki lineage meant the gate of tomorrow was collapsing.
The wind howled louder, the dragon above roared into the starlight, and the tide of time began to surge forward, leaving the gathered warriors with only seconds to decide whether they would drown in the alignment, or break the cosmic laws to forge a new dawn.
