Apparition War Chronicles: The Fall of Babylon

The crimson-tinted moonlight filtered heavily through the skeletal trees of the forest, casting an eerie, blood-red glow over the gathered heroes. The air felt thick, weighed down by an ominous, dark fantasy energy that hadn't been there before. Scattered throughout the clearing stood massive, glistening structures—statues made of crystal that appeared to be dragons, frozen in mid-roar, reflecting the corrupted red light.
In the center of the clearing, a ethereal figure materialized.
"You're here. I knew you would find me," she whispered, her voice echoing like shattered glass. "I am Lady Kyra."
Kyogi Kagimi stepped forward, his eyes narrowed as his shards of mirror-like glass hovered defensively around his hand. "Tell us, why were you crying out for help?" he demanded, his voice cutting through the unnatural silence of the woods.
Lady Kyra looked at the gathered warriors, her eyes filled with despair. "All our worlds are in danger. And without the Pharaoh and the Lightning Emperor... our world will cease to exist."
Yugi Muto tightened his grip on his cards, the Millennium Puzzle gleaming faintly against the dark, oppressive atmosphere. Nearby, Seto Kaiba scoffed, though his hand remained clenched tightly over his Duel Disk, scanning the shadows for threats.
Suddenly, a low, guttural growl vibrated through the earth. From the darkness, a towering, horrific fiend emerged, surrounded by swirling purple miasma.
"I don't believe this," Ban Mido exclaimed, stepping up beside Ryo of Wildfire. "The wounds we gave that monster have completely healed! What's going on?!"
Ryo gripped his sword, his samurai armor reflecting the sinister eclipse above. "It's drawing power from the darkness itself. Standard attacks won't work."
From the shadows behind them, Bakura let out a wicked, mocking laugh, the Millennium Ring resting against his chest as dark energy crackled around him. He seemed entirely too amused by the impending doom.
Ban ignored the laughing thief and whirled around to face Kagimi, his expression turning sharp and suspicious. "Why though, Kagimi? Why is someone from the high floors of Babylon City involved in this?!"
Before Kagimi could answer, a booming, disembodied voice resonated from the crystal dragon statues, drowning out the ambient dread of the forest.
"I brought you here, Kyogi Kagimi," the voice hissed, commanding the attention of everyone in the cursed woods. "You will know me soon enough."
