The Triad of Shadows: Key Link Chronicles & The Mind Guild

The neon haze of the Limitless Fortress hung heavy in the air as Masaki leaned against a crumbling pillar, his eyes scanning the labyrinth of corridors below.

"There's more you need to know about the situation here in the Sleeping Forest," he said, his voice low. "The dynamics are complex. You can get along with me and MakubeX—we're reasonable. But beware of what was created after the betrayal of the Key Link Incident."

Ikki crouched on the railing above, his Air Treks humming faintly. "What betrayal?"

Masaki's jaw tightened. "Kyogi Kagami told us everything—told me, told Karasu, told Ikki of Kagerasamaru, told Akira, the King of Beasts. What he revealed shattered alliances and forged something far worse."

Akira stepped from the shadows, arms crossed, his presence radiating raw authority. "The Brain Trust," he said flatly.

"The god of the Limitless Fortress," Masaki confirmed. "It only exists in darkness. A collective intelligence born from betrayal—an entity that sees everything within these walls and answers to no one."

A thread of silver wire caught the dim light overhead. From the rafters descended Kazaki, the Thread Master, landing silently between them.

"You forgot to mention," Kazaki said, pulling a strand taut between his fingers, "that the Brain Trust doesn't just watch. It decides who lives and who disappears. And lately… it's been making a lot of decisions."

The four of them stood in the half-light—warriors from different worlds, drawn together by a conspiracy older than any of them. Somewhere in the endless dark above, the Brain Trust pulsed silently, aware of every word.

The Sleeping Forest was waking up. And it was hungry.
