Souls of the Well: Legend of the Puzzle Spirit

The canopy of the Forest of Dreams hung low and heavy, drowning the twilight in a suffocating, unnatural gloom. Underneath, an impossible alliance trudged forward, guided only by the rhythmic, low-burning embers radiating from Ignitus. The great red dragon’s scales catch the faint starlight, casting long, dancing shadows against the ancient bark.
"The black-hearted creatures of this world cannot resist its call," Ignitus rumbled, his voice vibrating through the damp earth. "The Well of Souls beckons them as the night of eternal darkness draws nigh."
Genji, the Lightning Emperor, adjusted his stance, faint arcs of blue electricity crackling harmlessly across his knuckles. Beside him, Ban Mido pushed his tinted sunglasses up the bridge of his nose, a cynical, humorless smile playing on his lips. Spyro the Dragon trotted near their feet, his horns gleaming, his eyes darting into the thickets as a low purr of flame warmed his throat. Further back, Masaki Karsu and Yugi Muto walked in tense silence—Yugi’s hand resting instinctively over the Millennium Puzzle hanging from his neck.
"Look," Kyoji Kagami murmured, his voice cutting through the rustle of the leaves as he gestured toward a silhouette emerging from the mist ahead. "Another man led by destiny has chosen to return."
Out of the shifting fog stepped Bakura, the malicious glint of the Millennium Ring resting against his chest. A sinister, familiar aura bled from him, twisting the very air of the forest.
Kyoji crossed his arms, his gaze piercing. "So, which side do you intend to take in this little brawl?"
Bakura’s lips curled into a wicked smirk, the spirit of the Millennium Ring flaring with a sudden, oppressive energy. "I'll take whatever side I like best, as always."
"Perhaps I should say that sounds just like you," Kyoji replied, his tone chillingly smooth. He turned his eyes upward, past the branches, toward a looming shadow that defied the natural landscape. "Even now, a dark cloud is hanging over this Limitless Fortress."
The battle for the souls of the world was about to begin.
