Crying for the Moon- Fate of the Dark Sword & The Legendary Super Sayian ⚜🌑
The eerie, deathly silence of the Limitless Fortress pressed heavily against them. Below, a vast, writhing expanse of demons stretched out into the horizon like an ocean of shadow and teeth.
Kyogi Kagimi stood at the precipice, his gaze fixed on the horde before he broke the quiet, turning his eyes toward the Spirit Detective.
"So, what position do you plan to take in this war?" Kagimi asked, his voice cutting through the chill air. "You haven't made your position clear either."
Yusuke Urameshi didn't shift his stance. He leaned against the stone edge, looking thoroughly unimpressed by the oncoming storm. "I'll take whatever side I like best, as always."
"Yusuke, what's wrong?"
The smooth, mocking cadence of Karasu’s voice drifted over from behind them. The dark-haired bomb master walked calmly to the edge of the cliff, joining the two where they stood overlooking the abyss.
Yusuke let out a long, heavy sigh, running a hand through his slicked-back hair. "I don't know. I guess I am just crying for the moon. See, I don't have anybody left to fight here. But if I went back to Demon World and left the Limitless Fortress, it'd be bad for everyone." He paused, his fist tightening against the stone. "But I think it's more than just a lame outlook. My body... it's felt off ever since the fight with Sensui."
Before Kagimi or Karasu could question him further, the shadows behind them shifted violently.
Emerging from the darkness of the fortress interior came Ikki—bursting forth from Kagerasmaru’s grotesque form—alongside Akira, the King of the Beasts. The sudden arrival of the two powerful entities shifted the tension in the air instantly, turning a quiet moment of reflection into the prelude of an unavoidable clash.
Ikki detached himself from Kagerasmaru’s shifting, grotesque form with a sickening, fluid stretch, his eyes gleaming with malicious amusement. Beside him, Akira, the King of the Beasts, loomed like a monument to primal violence, his very presence radiating a suffocating pressure that made the surrounding spirit particles vibrate.
"Well, well," Ikki hissed, his voice echoing with a dual resonance that betrayed his parasitic nature. "Look at the little birds perched on the edge of the world. Whining about their broken wings while an empire waits to be claimed."
Yusuke didn't move from his leaning position against the fortress wall, but his dark eyes tracked Akira’s massive frame. "Great. More guys with a grand speech and zero boundaries. Don't you monsters ever knock?"
Akira took a step forward, the ground beneath his heavy boots cracking under the sheer weight of his aura. He ignored Yusuke entirely, his predatory gaze locking onto Kyogi Kagimi. "The Limitless Fortress isn't a sanctuary for the indecisive, Kagimi. The horde below demands a direction, and the Spirit Detective is a wild card we can't afford to leave unplayed. If his body is failing him, he’s just dead weight in the coming slaughter."
Karasu let out a soft, melodic laugh from behind his mask, his fingers twitching slightly as invisible traces of explosive spirit energy began to drift into the space between them. "Dead weight? How harsh. And here I thought we were all enjoying the view."
"Cut the crap, Karasu," Ikki spat, Kagerasmaru's massive, malformed arms flexing behind him. "Urameshi's energy is fluctuating. It has been ever since he crawled back from the dead after fighting Sensui. It’s like a cracked furnace—plenty of heat, but leaking. If he won't choose a side, we'll harvest what's left of that demon core before it burns itself out."
Yusuke finally pushed himself off the ledge, dropping his hands into his pockets. A faint, unstable flicker of golden-demon energy lapped at his knuckles, sputtering like a dying flame before snapping back into his skin. His body ached, a deep, marrow-deep lethargy that had dogged him for weeks, but a familiar, stubborn grin broke across his face anyway.
"Harvest? Man, everyone's an expert on my health lately," Yusuke muttered, his eyes narrowing as he faced down the King of the Beasts. "My body might feel like garbage right now, but I've still got more than enough juice to teach a couple of gatecrashers some manners. You want to find out which side I'm on? Come and make me choose."
