Celestial Trigger: Requiem of the Silver Millennium

The sky over the Tower of Mysteries was the color of a bruised plum, flickering with the static of lost history. At the foot of its spiraling, obsidian walls, the air grew thick with the scent of ozone and ancient parchment.
Gene Starwind checked the chamber of his Caster gun, the heavy metal clicking with a satisfying finality. He looked toward the man standing amidst the swirling dust, his silver-streaked hair catching a faint, violet light. Beside him stood Icky, the tension in his frame suggesting he was ready to vanish into the shadows at a moment’s notice.
"So, are you one of the wizards?" Gene asked, his voice echoing off the monolithic stones. "Because if we’re going to unlock the Eight Roads, I need to know if I’m following a map or a magic trick."
Sheynne Rainstorm turned, his eyes reflecting a cold, lunar pale. He adjusted the heavy, dark cloak at his shoulders, his movements possessing a fluid, lethal grace. Beside him, Sailor Saturn gripped the Silence Glaive, the weapon’s blade humming with a low, ominous frequency that vibrated in Gene’s marrow.
"I see," Sheynne said, his voice a steady baritone. "I guess that title fits. The days when we were called priests are at an end. Our roles have shifted as the world has fractured."
He stepped forward, pointing toward the Great Seal etched into the tower’s door—a circular motif depicting a celestial eclipse.
"We got our powers from the Seal of the Shadow of the Moon," Sheynne explained. "When the Eight Kings ruled the Eight Roads, the Regalia kept the world in balance. But greed is a sharp blade, Gene. They split, the Regalia were scattered to the winds, and the roads themselves became labyrinths that lead nowhere."
"And now the keys are stuck in there," Gene muttered, looking up at the windowless spire.
"The Regalia are more than just symbols," Saturn added, her voice quiet but resonant. "They are the concentrated essence of the roads themselves. Without them, the tower remains a tomb for reality. If we don’t recover the Arms and the Regalia, the shadow that granted Sheynne his power will be the only thing left of this world."
Icky narrowed his eyes, his hand resting on the hilt of his blade. "The Kagerasmaru do not chase ghosts. But if these 'Kings' have left their power behind, it’s better in our hands than rotting in a vault."
Gene smirked, tilting his hat back. "Lost treasure, ancient kings, and a tower full of deathtraps. Sounds like a Tuesday. Let’s move—those Eight Roads aren't going to walk themselves."
With a collective breath, the group stepped toward the threshold, the Shadow of the Moon deepening as the tower’s first gate began to groan open..
