Forest's End: The Shadow Dragon and the Jewel Princess Diancie
The campfire crackled, throwing long, dancing shadows against the gnarled roots of the treeline. The air was heavy, thick with the scent of ancient moss and unspoken dread. They stood at the precipice of the Forest of Silence—a place the locals simply called The Dark.
Ash Ketchum stepped forward, his eyes blazing with the kind of fierce, unwavering determination that had carried him through a hundred regions. He looked up at Icky, the formidable leader of the Kagerasmaru clan, whose massive, feathered wings rippled in the moonlight.
"You have said that your wings have the strength to carry our dreams to the heavens themselves," Ash said, his voice echoing in the quiet night. He extended a hand, sincere and grounded. "I believe in those words. So, I implore you, Sky King—lead us through the Forest of Silence."
Icky narrowed his eyes, the gravity of the request weighing heavily on him. Before he could answer, a voice cut through the chill air.
"That's why they call it the Dark," Queen Jasmine added, stepping up beside Leif, the King of Deltora. Her hand rested on the hilt of her dagger, her expression grim. "There's a guardian there that's even more dangerous than the Wynbar. An evil guardian that even the trees fear."
Leif nodded silently, his hand tightening around the Belt of Deltora. The gems glinted faintly, as if warning them of the malice waiting within the shrouded woods.
Sakura Avalon stepped up next to them, clutching her sealing wand tightly against her chest. "We can't turn back now," she whispered, looking into the pitch-black canopy where the wind itself seemed to die. "Whatever is in there... we face it together."
"No... no, wait! Sora! Don't jump!"
"Munchlax... use... hyper beam on the... alarm clock..."
Jessie and Meowth groaned simultaneously, glaring across the small clearing at their teammate. James was tangled in his sleeping bag, thrashing wildly, muttering nonsense into the dirt.
"He's having that dream again," James chimed in from the sidelines—or rather, the real James woke up with a gasp, rubbing his eyes and shivering from the night chill. He looked over at his friends, his heart hammering against his ribs.
"The one with the spiky-haired kid and the giant key?" Meowth asked, scratching his ear. "Ya gotta stop eating those spicy Berries before bed, Jimmy."
"No, you don't understand," James breathed, staring blankly into the campfire flames. The dream was always the same, vivid and haunting. "I see Sora... from Sleeping Forest. He's standing at the top of the radio tower, the wind howling around him. And he's just... waiting. He's waiting for something."
James looked toward the ominous, silent treeline where Ash and the others were preparing their vanguard. A cold sweat broke out on his neck.
"But what?" James whispered to the night. "What is he waiting for?"
Deep within the Forest of Silence, a massive, crystalline pair of eyes snapped open. The Dark Dragon shifted its weight, its scales scraping against the diamond-encrusted throne of a captured princess. The guardian was awake, and it was waiting for them all. and that's how it happened tenchi simply Vanished without a trace
