The Cyber Phantom: Mokuru and the Crimson Silence

The air in the demon world was thick, smelling of sulfur and ozone. Raizen, the Great Demon, leaned back against his massive stone throne, his eyes narrowing as he looked at Yusuke Urameshi.
"There’s more about the situation here that I haven't told you yet, Yusuke," Raizen rumbled, his voice like grinding tectonic plates.
Yusuke wiped a smudge of demon blood from his cheek, his brow furrowing. "More? You mean the literal apocalypse outside isn't enough? Who else is caught in the crossfire?"
Raizen sighed, a sound that shook the cavern. "It's not just our world. A rift opened—a digital bleeding between dimensions. Your friends, and some... strangers... have been pulled into a relic of the Old World."
The Digital Trap: Goblin City
Within the heart of the demon world sat a cursed relic: an ancient, neon-flickering arcade cabinet titled "Welcome to Goblin City." But this wasn't just a game. It was a pocket dimension powered by a malevolent spirit, and right now, seven souls were digitized and trapped inside its pixelated walls.
The Team of Seven
The lineup was as chaotic as the rift that brought them together:
Yusuke Urameshi: (The heavy hitter, currently attempting to Spirit Gun his way through a brick wall).
Shaggy Rogers & Daphne Blake: The mystery solvers. Shaggy was currently hiding inside a pixelated barrel, while Daphne was trying to figure out if the Goblin King’s traps followed any logical pattern.
Haru Glory & Musica: The warriors from the world of Rave, their silver and stone clashing against endless waves of green-skinned NPCs.
Leif of Deltora: The rightful King, his belt glowing with the heat of the gems as he navigated the labyrinthine streets.
Queen Jasmine: Standing back-to-back with Leif, her daggers flashing as she fended off a goblin ambush.
Level 1: The Neon Labyrinth
"Like, man, this is definitely not the malt shop!" Shaggy yelled, ducking as a jagged spear flew over his head.
"Stay focused, Shaggy!" Daphne shouted, kick-flipping over a tripwire. "Musica, can you do something about that gate?"
Musica grinned, his silver manipulation powers blurring into a massive hammer. "Consider it open!" With a resounding CRACK, the pixelated iron bars shattered into glowing cubes.
Haru Glory stepped forward, the Ten Powers sword hummed in his hand. "We need to move. The code is stabilizing, which means the difficulty is about to spike."
"He’s right," Leif said, checking the Belt of Deltora. The Topaz was pulsing—a warning of nearby treachery. "The King isn't just watching us; he's playing us."
The Boss Room: The Throne of the Goblin King
They reached the center of the city—a towering spire of jagged geometry and flickering CRT static. At the top sat the Goblin King, a figure draped in shadows and glitched-out textures.
"Welcome, heroes," the King hissed, his voice a distorted electronic synth. "To win, you must survive the final encounter. But in this game, if your HP hits zero, you don't get a 'Continue.'"
The Clash
The battle was a whirlwind of styles:
The Vanguard: Haru and Leif led the charge, a whirlwind of steel and magic gems.
The Support: Jasmine and Daphne coordinated the flanks, using the environment to trap the King’s minions.
The Power: Yusuke charged a Spirit Gun, his blue energy contrasting wildly with the neon purple of the game world.
The Wildcard: Shaggy, in a fit of panicked adrenaline, accidentally tripped a series of master-code switches while looking for a snack, causing the Goblin King to lag visibly.
"Now!" Yusuke roared. "Spirit... GUN!"
The blast didn't just hit the Goblin King; it tore through the game's very source code. The screen of the arcade cabinet back in the demon world began to crack.
The Aftermath
Back in the cavern, Raizen watched as the arcade cabinet exploded in a shower of sparks. Seven figures tumbled out onto the stone floor, coughing and rubbing their eyes.
"Like... I am never playing video games again," Shaggy groaned, face-planting into the dirt.
Daphne stood up, brushing the dust off her purple suit. "I don't know, Shaggy. We did get the high score."
Yusuke looked at Raizen, then at the ragtag group of heroes from a dozen different worlds. "You really should have led with the 'trapped in a video game' part, old man."
Raizen just chuckled. "Where’s the fun in that?"
