Flower of the Moon: Crimson Tower of Dreams
The canopy of the Forest of Silence lived up to its name, swallowing the sound of their footsteps until the only thing audible was the rhythmic thud of Akira’s heavy boots. Ahead, the trees began to thin, giving way to the eerie, gravity-defying beauty of the Flower Garden of Giratina’s Reverse World.
Floating islands of earth drifted lazily upside down, and luminous, crystalline flora bloomed in defiance of physics. It was a breathtaking sight, but nobody was relaxing.
Akira, the Leader of Behemoth and the undisputed King of Beasts, stopped at the edge of the clearing. He adjusted his gear and looked back at the disparate group that had somehow become his pack: Sakura Avalon, Inuyasha, Sesshomaru, Boruto Uzumaki, and Ash Ketchum.
"You have come so far already," Akira said, his voice low and carrying the weight of a seasoned commander. "But you still have a long way to climb. There's a tower of demons ahead of you that stretches far into the sky."
Ash gripped the strap of his backpack, Pikachu sparking slightly on his shoulder. "Let them come. We didn't journey through all these dimensions just to turn back now."
"Hmph. A tower of vermin is still just vermin," Inuyasha muttered, resting his hand on the hilt of the Tessaiga.
Beside him, Sesshomaru remained perfectly still, his golden eyes fixed on the horizon where reality seemed to warp. "Save your breath, half-demon. We are being watched."
Boruto adjusted his forehead protector, his right hand instinctively hovering near his pouch. "Yeah, I feel it too. The chakra in this place is completely twisted."
Sakura held her sealing wand tightly against her chest. "It feels... lonely. Like a beautiful cage."
Suddenly, the iridescent petals of the Reverse World's flowers began to glow with a sickly, violet light. The ambient silence was shattered by a voice that seemed to echo from everywhere and nowhere at once. It was smooth, ancient, and dripping with absolute malice.
"Come to my dream castle... that is if you so desire. Your freedom is but a fleeting illusion."
The voice vibrated in their bones, the unmistakable calling card of Kaguya, the Rabbit Goddess.
As the echo faded, a massive, shadowy blossom burst from the center of the garden, its petals unfurling to reveal a shifting, illusory gateway toward a towering pagoda that pierced the upper atmosphere.
Boruto gritted his teeth. "Kaguya... I knew she was behind this."
"Wait," Akira commanded, raising a hand to halt the group before anyone could step toward the gateway. He narrowed his eyes at the glowing, hypnotic flower. "That's a fly-by-night—the Witch's Flower."
"A fly-by-night?" Ash asked, looking from Akira to the strange plant. "Like a trick?"
"Exactly," Akira replied, his beastly instincts seeing right through the illusion. "It’s a temporary bloom designed to lure desperate prey. She wants us to rush blindly into her domain because she fears what we can do if we take our time. It’s a trap wrapped in a promise."
Sesshomaru drew Bakusaiga, the blade crackling with destructive energy. "Then we do not walk into her dream. We shatter it."
"Right!" Inuyasha grinned, a fierce battle fire lighting up his eyes. "Let's show this 'goddess' what happens when she tries to cage us."
With Akira leading the charge, the group braced themselves. The tower ahead was immense, and the demons waiting for them were nameless and cruel—but looking around at the allies standing by his side, Akira knew the long climb ahead would end in victory.
