Twilight of the Druaga: Gateway to the Venom City

The air at the base of the Tower of Druagga didn’t smell like ancient stone; it smelled like ozone and burnt silicon.
Genji, known to the world as the Lightning Emperor, adjusted the grip on his hilt. Sparks danced between his knuckles, illuminating the weary faces of his companions. They had crossed the Desolation of Ash and waded through the Sea of Sorrows just to reach this point, yet looking up, the tower didn't just meet the clouds—it pierced them like a jagged obsidian needle.
"You've come so far," Genji murmured, his voice crackling with static. "But the climb hasn't even begun."
The Vanguard
The team gathered at the threshold of the massive, iron-ribbed gates:
Icky: Leader of the Kagerasmaru, eyes scanning the shadows for traps.
Jill the Climber: Already checking her pitons and enchanted ropes, undaunted by the vertical nightmare.
Sheynne Rainstorm: Her presence brought a faint mist that cooled the oppressive heat of the tower's aura.
Yusuke Urameshi: Tucking his hands into his pockets with a cocky grin, a bead of Spirit Gun energy flickering at his fingertip.
"Why the hell did Druagga lock himself at the top of a skyscraper if he's so tough?" Yusuke asked, tilting his head back. "If he’s a god, can't he just fly down and face us?"
Genji looked at the Spirit Detective, his expression grim. "He didn't lock himself up because he can't fly, Yusuke. He did it to protect his team. Every floor of this place is a laboratory of malice. If he stayed on the ground, the sheer overflow of his power would wither his own subordinates into dust. He’s not hiding—he’s bottlenecking us."
The Digital Descent
As they stepped over the threshold, the environment shifted. The medieval stone dissolved into glowing green wireframes and flickering pixels. The heavy silence was shattered by a jarring, high-bitrate fanfare.
"LEVEL ONE: START!"
A voice, sounding like it was projected through a 1980s arcade cabinet, boomed from the rafters. It was tinny, synthesized, and dripping with artificial cheer.
"WELCOME TO GOBLIN CITY!" the voice announced. "WHERE YOU AND YOUR TEAM OF SEVEN HEROES MUST CLASH SWORDS WITH THE EVIL GOBLIN KING! INSERT COIN... JUST KIDDING. INSERT LIVES!"
"Seven heroes?" Icky whispered, his hand on his kunai. "There are only five of us here."
"The tower counts the shadows we carry," Sheynne noted, her eyes narrowing as the "walls" of the tower began to render into an impossibly vast, neon-lit labyrinth of garbage heaps and iron scrap.
Ahead of them, a tide of green-skinned sprites—rendered in choppy, frame-skipping animation—pulled rusted blades from the ground. At the far end of the hall, seated on a throne of broken arcade sticks, sat the Goblin King, his crown flickering with a glitchy golden light.
"Keep your heads up," Genji commanded, lightning erupting from his body to coat the team in a protective, high-voltage veil. "It’s a long way to the top, and the King wants to play."
Yusuke cracked his neck, the blue light of his Spirit Wave matching the neon glow of the tower. "Good. I was worried this was gonna be boring."
