Phantom Marionette: Cyber Genesis – Chasm of the Dreaming Soul
The air inside the makeshift command center was thick with tension, smelling of stale coffee and ozone. A massive holographic map of the sector flickered in the center of the room, casting an eerie blue glow over an incredibly bizarre alliance.
Mister, the notorious space pirate from Coyote Ragtime Show, slammed his fist onto the metal table, cutting through the low murmur of tech diagnostics.
"Guys, listen up," Mister growled, his voice gravelly and commanding. "The only way we're going to get a leg up on Kagato is to do something about the bomb on our own."
Tenchi Masaki rubbed the back of his neck, looking stressed. He was used to space pirates and galactic crises, but this was a whole new level of chaotic. Standing nearby, Ranmaru Shino—cross-dressed in his usual schoolgirl uniform but carrying his signature deadly serious demeanor—crossed his arms and nodded in agreement. Even Xemnas, the enigmatic leader of Organization XIII, stood in the shadows of the room, his silver hair catching the holographic light, watching the proceedings with cold, calculating eyes.
"The first objective is to find who poses the biggest threat," Tsunami added, her ethereal form shimmering as she materialized beside Tenchi. Her gentle voice brought a brief moment of calm to the room, but her words were heavy. "The statute of limitations has run out on Kagato's past crimes. He is operating with legal impunity in several sectors now. But more concerning is his current data access. How did he get the info without the password?"
"That’s exactly what I’ve been tracking," Ranmaru Shino added, stepping forward and tapping a sequence into the console. The hologram shifted, displaying a encrypted data stream flowing directly from Galaxy Police headquarters to an unknown coordinates. "Taishi is selling us out to the Phantoms. The security division is hiding evidence. They're scrubbing his record from the inside."
"A betrayal from within," Xemnas murmured, his deep voice resonating through the room. He adjusted his black coat, a faint, dark smirk touching his lips. "How predictably human. They seek to control the vacuum left by Kagato's chaos, oblivious to the fact that they are merely fueling their own destruction."
"We don't have time for a philosophy lesson, zipper-coat," Mister snapped, checking the cylinder of his revolver. "If the Galaxy Police security division is compromised, we're entirely on our own. Kagato has the password-less data, he’s got the Phantoms backing him, and he has a bomb that could crack this planet like an egg."
Tenchi stepped up to the table, his expression hardening. The Juraian power inside him stirred, sensing the imminent danger. "If they're hiding evidence, it means the real coordinates for the bomb are still in the central mainframe. We can't trust the official channels anymore."
"Then we take it by force," Xemnas concluded, raising a hand as a red-and-black Interdiction Keyblade materialized in his grip, sparks of dark energy crackling around him. "Or by stealth. Either way, the truth will be extracted."
Mister grinned, a cigar resting between his teeth. "Now you're talking. Ranmaru, slice into those hidden files and blind their security cameras. Tenchi, you and the lady goddess keep the ship ready for a hot drop. Gray-hair and I are going to go have a little chat with the Security Division."
The unlikely crew moved into action. The statute of limitations might have cleared Kagato's past, but what they were about to do would write a whole new chapter of galactic history.
