Chronicles of the Thorn Queen: Eclipse of the Slumbering Forest

The wind over the Sleeping Forest used to hum with the sound of a thousand magical wings, but today, it carried only a heavy, grieving silence.
Standing on the highest canopy of the Great Tree, Icky looked out over the barren woods. The magical creatures were gone—whisked away into the shadows after Animus stripped the realm bare. And below, in the deepest chamber of the hollow trunks, lay Queen Rika. The Queen of Thorns. Icky’s older sister. The fierce protector of the Sleeping Forest and leader of the legendary Kagerasmaru had fallen into a deep, unbreakable slumber.
It was a sleep she could not awake from. A sleep bound to the missing Regalia. If the artifact was gone forever, Rika would never open her eyes again.
"Icky really is the leader of the Sleeping Forest now... I still can't believe it."
The voice came from behind him. Icky didn't turn around; he knew the fiery presence of Takuya Kanbara anywhere. The DigiDestined walked up to the edge of the branch, the wind tugging at his goggles, looking out at the same desolate horizon.
"Neither can I," Icky admitted, his voice barely a whisper. The weight of the crown—and the heavy silence of his sister's absence—pressed down on his shoulders. He felt small. Unprepared. "Rika was the shield. The Kagerasmaru followed her. The forest thrived because she was strong enough to bear the thorns. How am I supposed to protect a kingdom that’s already half-faded?"
Takuya stepped up beside him, placing a firm, grounding hand on Icky’s shoulder. There was no doubt in the DigiDestined’s eyes, only the fierce, unyielding spark of the Spirit of Flame.
"You have said that your wings have the strength to carry our dreams to the heavens themselves," Takuya said, his voice ringing clear through the quiet canopy. "You are our Sky King, Icky. Rika didn't leave you a broken forest to mourn; she left it for you to guide."
Icky looked at Takuya, the words echoing in his chest. Sky King. It felt like a title meant for someone else, someone grander. But looking down at the thorn-choked palace where his sister lay in suspended animation, he knew he couldn't afford to doubt himself anymore. Animus had taken the creatures, and the missing Regalia had taken the Queen, but they hadn't taken the sky.
Slowly, Icky unfurled his wings. They caught the pale sunlight, casting a brilliant glow across the darkened canopy.
"The Regalia is out there," Icky said, a new resolve hardening his tone. "And Animus is going to pay for what he did to my sister."
"Now you're talking," Takuya grinned, pulling his goggles down over his eyes. "We find the Regalia, we wake up the Queen, and we take back the forest. What are we waiting for, Sky King? Lead the way."
With a powerful snap of his wings, Icky launched himself into the open air, rising high above the thorns of the Sleeping Forest. He wasn't just running from the tragedy; he was flying toward the fight. The dreams of his people, and the life of his sister, were riding on his wings—and he would carry them to the heavens themselves   https://audiomack.com/dj-new-new-dre/song/6a1962f4e5c2f
