Storm Riders: Curse of the Dream Woods Album Outro

The sky above the desolate planet Jirai didn’t just storm; it bled plasma. Black sand whipped across jagged obsidian crags, driven by a gale that smelled faintly of ozone and burning copper.
At the center of a monolithic, ruined amphitheater stood Kagato. The dark space-mage hovered inches above the ground, his crimson cape billowing, his hands resting casually on the hilt of his glowing energy blade. He looked bored.
"Is this the best the universe could assemble to challenge me?" Kagato’s voice echoed directly into the minds of the seven warriors surrounding him. "A collection of stray castaways?"
"We're enough to put you down," barked Leif of Deltora. He stepped forward, drawing the Belt of Deltora tight around his waist. The Great Gems—diamond, emerald, lapis lazuli—flashed with a fierce, protective light, pushing back Jirai's oppressive dark aura.
"Arrogant to the end," a cool voice amplified by a speaker system chimed in. High above, the massive white-and-gold frame of the Mobile Suit Tallgeest III hovered. Inside the cockpit, Zechs Merquise adjusted his mask, his fingers dancing across the controls. "Let us see if your magic can outrun a mega cannon."
The Opening Volley
Zechs didn’t wait for a reply. The Tallgeest’s mega cannon roared, unleashing a blinding torrent of energy that vaporized the black sand in its path.
Kagato didn't blink. With a flick of his wrist, a shimmering forcefield deflected the beam into the atmosphere, splitting the clouds.
"My turn," laughed a green-haired teenager on motorized rollerblades. Icky, the "Slam King" of the Storm Riders, slammed his Air Gear skates into the ground. Utilizing the massive updraft caused by Zechs' cannon, Icky launched himself into the air, spinning like a top. He unleashed a barrage of localized, high-velocity wind cuts—the Hurricane Road—aimed directly at Kagato’s blind spot.
Simultaneously, Von Fanel of Escaflowne materialized from the dust. He wasn't in his Guymelef, but his swordsmanship was no less lethal. His broadsword whistled through the air, aiming for Kagato’s flank, his draconic blood pumping with adrenaline.
Kagato parried Von’s blade with his bare, magic-infused hand and caught Icky's wind pressure on an invisible barrier. With a cruel smirk, he flexed his telekinetic grip, planning to crush them both.
"Not so fast, dark lord!" a voice yelled.
The Tactical Web
Dozens of razor-sharp, nearly invisible monofilament wires snapped taut across the battlefield. Thread Master Kazaki stood atop a nearby crag, his fingers twitching like a master puppeteer. The threads intercepted Kagato's telekinetic bursts, binding his arms and disrupting his magical flow.
"Now, Genji!" Kazaki shouted.
From the dark clouds above, a bolt of pure, golden lightning struck the earth. Genji, the Lightning Emperor, descended like a falling star. Wrapped in an armor of pure electricity, his eyes glowing white, Genji channeled the chaotic atmospheric energy of Jirai directly into his fists.
"Taste the wrath of the thunder!" Genji roared, slamming a localized lightning storm directly into Kagato’s chest.
The explosion shook the very foundations of the planet. Smoke and ionized dust veiled the crater.
The Dark Rebound
When the dust cleared, Kagato’s clothes were singed, and a trickle of dark blood ran from his lip. His bored expression was gone, replaced by a twisted, homicidal grin.
"Amusing," Kagato hissed.
A massive wave of dark energy erupted from his body, snapping Kazaki’s threads, throwing Genji backward, and sending Icky tumbling through the dirt. Even the Tallgeest III was forced to fire its thrusters to maintain altitude against the gravity well Kagato was suddenly generating.
Von Fanel swung wildly to defend himself, but Kagato bypassed his guard, delivering a palm strike that shattered Von's armor and sent the young king skidding across the obsidian rock. Leif rushed forward, the Belt of Deltora flaring with a brilliant protective barrier to shield Von from a follow-up blast, but the sheer force of Kagato's magic was cracking the shield.
"It ends here," Kagato declared, raising his sword to summon a localized black hole that would swallow them all.
The Turning Tide
"I don't think so," a calm, resolute voice echoed.
Tenchi Masaki stepped forward. Until now, he had been observing, trying to find a peaceful resolution. But seeing his companions battered, the young man from Earth closed his eyes and tapped into the ancient, cosmic power sleeping within his DNA.
Light erupted from Tenchi’s right hand. One by one, glowing, translucent wings of pure energy manifested behind him.
One.
Two.
Three.
The Light Hawk Wings shined with a brilliant, primordial luminescence that instantly neutralized Kagato's dark gravity well. The oppressive atmosphere of Jirai vanished, replaced by a serene, absolute power.
Kagato’s eyes widened in genuine horror. "The Light Hawk Wings?! A mortal possesses them?!"
"Everyone! Now!" Leif shouted, sensing the opening. The Belt of Deltora blasted a beam of pure purity, pinning Kagato’s shadows to the ground.
From above, Zechs fired the Tallgeest’s beam saber at maximum output, dropping down like a meteor. Kazaki threw his ultimate web, binding Kagato's legs, while Icky used the friction of the Tallgeest's descent to create a massive, fiery firestorm vortex. Genji threw one final, planet-shaking lightning bolt into the mix, and Von, summoning the last of his strength, lunged forward with a piercing strike.
Driven into a corner, Kagato unleashed all his power to block the combined assault of the six warriors, his dark magic screaming against their combined might. He was holding them off—barely.
"You cannot defeat me!" Kagato screamed.
"This is for the universe," Tenchi said softly.
With a swift, decisive motion, Tenchi swung his Light Hawk Wing blade. The construct of pure light cut through Kagato’s dark barrier like paper. It bypassed his armor, his magic, and his sword, striking with the absolute authority of creation itself.
Aftermath
A blinding flash of white light enveloped the amphitheater. When it faded, the dark energy of Jirai was entirely gone. The sky was clear, revealing a sea of foreign stars above.
Kagato was gone, dissolved into cosmic dust.
Icky deactivated his Air Gears, collapsing onto a rock, panting. "Man... I thought I was fast, but that light-wing trick is cheating."
"It was a necessary intervention," Zechs said, the Tallgeest III landing heavily beside them, its cockpit opening. He looked at Tenchi with deep respect. "You carry a terrifying burden, young man."
Von leaned on his sword, nodding to Leif, who was checking the glowing gems of his belt. "We couldn't have done it without everyone playing their part," Leif said, looking around the diverse group.
Tenchi’s wings faded away, and he rubbed the back of his head, turning back into the polite, unassuming boy from Okayama. "I'm just glad everyone is safe. Let's go home
