Neon Genesis Babylon: The Last Unicorn and the Soul Dew Crystal
The rain in the Limitless Fortress didn’t fall from the sky; it bled from the rusted underbelly of the upper sectors, tasting of copper and old data.
Inside a hollowed-out server hub in the lower sectors, five figures stood around a flickering holographic map of Babylon Tower—the sentient megastructure that comprised the heart of the city.
"Three centuries, three decades, and a handful of hours," Genji, the Lightning Emperor, murmured. Electric blue sparks danced across his knuckles, casting sharp shadows over his aristocratic face. "That is how long the spell has held him. Three hundred and thirty years ago, on an afternoon just like this at the end of November, the ancient magi sealed the last unicorn beneath the bedrock of this very fortress."
"And tonight is the deadline," Yugi Muto said, his hand instinctively resting on the Millennium Puzzle. The gold artifact gleamed, sensing the sheer weight of the destiny closing in on them. "The blue moon rises at midnight. If he loses this chance to rise and depart... all magic will fade from his horn and his heart. The supernatural world will wither into nothingness."
Ban Meadow leaned against a stack of dead monitors, adjusting his glasses. "Which means Babylon Tower isn't just an intelligent city. It’s a cage. The city itself is alive, and it’s feeding on the unicorn's dormant mana to power its automated defenses."
"We all compliment each other's power," Genji said, looking around the room. "That's why we were called the 4 Kings of the Limitless Fortress. We tore this city away from the syndicate once. We can break its heart open tonight."
"But we can't just shatter the seal with brute force," Thread Master Kazaki interjected, his fingers twitching as near-invisible monofilament chakra threads spun lazily between his fingertips. "The seal is woven into the city’s core logic. To dissolve it, we need a catalyst of pure, untainted spiritual energy."
"We need the Soul Dew," Ash Ketchum added, stepping forward. Beside him, Pikachu sparked in agreement, his cheeks glowing red. Ash held up a drawing salvaged from an ancient archive. "The crystal orb said to contain the spirit of Latios. It’s the only thing with a high enough emotional resonance to counteract Babylon’s cybernetic curse. And according to my sensors, it’s at the very top of the tower."
Genji smirked, a flash of lightning illuminating his eyes. "Then the 4 Kings ride again. Let's go hunt a myth."
