Woods of the Black Dream Castle

The sky above the ruined castle did not welcome the dawn. Instead, the clouds curdled into an unnatural, bruised purple, bleeding away the last remnants of daylight. Naraku was dead, his miasma finally dissolved into nothingness, but the vacuum he left behind had pulled a different kind of darkness into the world.
Standing amidst the shattered stone and twisted iron of the courtyard, Kaguya, Princess of the Heavens, spread her arms. Her laughter was like the chiming of glass bells in a graveyard.
"Naraku has died," she whispered, her voice carrying on a chill wind that made the surrounding forest shiver. "Now, eternal night shall be mine. These are the ruins of dreams past..."
A few yards away, an eclectic group of warriors stood on high alert. The battle against Naraku had thrown different worlds, and different eras, violently together.
Tenchi Masaki stepped over a pile of rubble, his eyes scanning the debris until they locked onto a large, weathered monument. Despite the damage, the carved features were unmistakable.
"Somehow, that statue looks familiar," Tenchi muttered, rubbing the back of his neck.
Beside him, Usagi Tsukino—Sailor Moon—peered over his shoulder, her twin odangos swaying as she tilted her head. "Huh? That looks just like you, Tenchi!"
"That's... that's the statue of the legendary warrior Yosho," Tenchi said, his voice dropping in disbelief. "It's a statue of Grandfather." He looked a few paces to the left, where a pedestal sat empty, sheared off at the base. "Look, it looks like there was another statue over there..."
"He was of noble birth," Kaguya glided toward them, her heavy silks brushing against the dead grass. Her gaze lingered on Tenchi, a cruel, mocking smile playing on her lips. "He was a master swordsman. And it would have been the legendary warrior come to my dream castle... that is, if you so desire."
"Keep your dreams to yourself, witch," a cold, detached voice cut through the air.
Sesshomaru stood a few paces back, his white long coat pristine despite the ash in the air. His golden eyes narrowed at Kaguya, his hand resting casually on the hilt of Bakusaiga. He had no interest in Juraian royalty or ancient lineages; he only saw another obstacle to be purged.
"Step aside, Tenchi," Ryo of Wildfire called out, the armor of Wildfire gleaming with a restless, fiery aura as he stepped forward. He drew his twin Swords of Fervor, the blades crackling with heat that defied the sudden unnatural winter. "She's not looking for a guest. She's looking for a hostage."
Kaguya’s smile vanished, replaced by a cold, celestial fury. The sky darkened further, stars winking out one by one as a heavy, crushing gravity began to settle over the ruins.
"How tragic," Kaguya beckoned to Tenchi Masaki, Sesshomaru, Ryo of Wildfire, and Sailor Moon, her mirror rising to float above her palm, glowing with an ominous light. "You cling so tightly to your pasts, your lineages, and your hopes. But the dream is over."
She raised her hand toward the sky, and the final remnants of light vanished completely, plunging the world into a suffocating, absolute dark.
"Now," Kaguya declared, her voice echoing with the weight of a dying cosmos, "all living creatures must be eliminated."
Tenchi gripped the Master Key, the light blade sparking to life, its glow a thin line of defense against the absolute dark.
Ryo unleashed a wave of fire, the flames roaring to illuminate the courtyard as he charged.
Sesshomaru drew his blade in a fluid, lethal arc, a crescent of destructive energy tearing through the stone toward the princess.
Sailor Moon raised her scepter, her heart hammering but her resolve hardening. "We won't let you turn this world into a nightmare!"
