Legend of the Three Realms: The Druaga Prophecy & the Sapphire Belt

The air in the chamber grew unnaturally cold as the shadows began to stretch and twist like living things. In the center of the hall, the Princess of the Heavens, Kaguya, hovered with a terrifying grace. Her robes billowed in a wind that shouldn't have existed, and her eyes held the emptiness of the void.
"Naraku has died," Kaguya announced, her voice a silk-wrapped blade that echoed against the stone walls. "And with him, the last petty distraction. Now, eternal night shall be mine."
The Gathering of Heroes
The three champions stood their ground, though they came from worlds apart:
Inuyasha, the half-demon, gripped the hilt of the Tessaiga, his ears twitching as he caught the scent of ancient, stagnant magic.
Jill, the Guardian from the Tower of Uruk, shifted her weight, her eyes locked on Kaguya's every movement.
Leif, the King of Deltora, felt a sudden, sharp heat against his waist.
Just then, the words of the Belt of Deltora leaped into Leif’s mind, unbidden and urgent. He looked down at the great medallion in the center of the belt. The Ruby, usually a deep, vibrant crimson, was losing its luster.
The Ruby, red as blood, grows pale in the presence of evil or when misfortune threatens.
"The stone..." Leif whispered, his voice tight. "It’s turning pink. She isn't just a threat—she is a catastrophe."
The Illusion of Freedom
Kaguya spread her arms, and the reality around them began to dissolve. The stone walls of the fortress melted into a swirling kaleidoscope of cherry blossoms and dark nebula clouds.
"Behold the Dream Castle of the Pentacle," Kaguya proclaimed, her smile widening into something predatory. "You struggle for your worlds, for your friends, for your futures. But look around you."
The ground beneath Inuyasha’s feet turned to glass. He growled, the Wind Scar pulsing in his blade, but there was no physical target to strike. Jill raised her shield, but the "air" felt like water, heavy and resistant.
"Your freedom is but a fleeting illusion," Kaguya told them, her gaze drifting specifically to Inuyasha. "Time is a cage, and I am the lock."
The Final Stand
"I've heard enough of this 'fate' talk from Naraku!" Inuyasha roared, leaping into the air. "I don't care if this is a dream or a castle—I’m tearing it down!"
"Wait!" Leif shouted, holding the Belt aloft. The Ruby was now almost white, but the Topaz beside it began to glow with a golden light, clearing the fog of the mind. "Jill, protect him! The Belt is showing me the way through the illusion!"
Jill didn't hesitate. She threw herself in front of the King, her armor gleaming. "Understood, King Leif! If she wants to give us a nightmare, let's show her we’re the ones who wake up!"
Kaguya’s laughter rang out, cold and crystalline, as the eternal night began to swallow the horizon. The battle for the dawn had begun.
